Afternoon at the Office

昼休ひるやすみが終おわって、アレックスはデスクに戻もどります。

Lunch break ends, and Alex returns to his desk.

アレックスはパソコンで資料しりょうを読よんで、メールを書かきます。

Alex reads documents on the computer and writes emails.

同僚どうりょうがアレックスに言いいます。「このグラフを見みてください。」

A coworker says to Alex, “Please look at this graph.”

アレックスは見みながら言いいます。「この漢字かんじを読よむのはちょっとむずかしいです。」

Looking at it, Alex says, “Reading these kanji is a little difficult.”

同僚どうりょうは笑わらいます。「でも、アレックスさんは話はなすのがとても上手じょうずですよ。」

The coworker laughs. “But you are very good at speaking.”

アレックスはすこし恥はずかしいです。「ありがとうございます。もっと練習れんしゅうします。」

Alex feels a little embarrassed. “Thank you. I’ll practice more.”
