昼休ひるやすみ

Lunch Break

昼ひるになりました。アレックスは時計とけいを見みます。

It is noon. Alex looks at the clock.

同僚どうりょうが来きました。「アレックスさん、いっしょに食堂しょくどうへ行いきませんか。」

A coworker comes. “Alex, won’t you go to the cafeteria with us?”

「はい、行いきましょう。」

“Yes, let’s go.”

みんなは食堂しょくどうで定食ていしょくやラーメンを食たべます。アレックスはカレーを注文ちゅうもんします。

Everyone eats set meals or ramen in the cafeteria. Alex orders curry.

「このカレーはおいしいですね。」アレックスは言いいます。

“This curry is delicious,” Alex says.

同僚どうりょうが答こたえます。「そうですね。わたしたちは昼休ひるやすみにラーメンを食たべたり、コンビニでおにぎりを買かったりします。」

A coworker answers, “Yes. At lunchtime, we do things like eat ramen or buy rice balls at the convenience store.”

アレックスは笑わらいます。「いいですね。つぎはおにぎりを食たべたいです。」

Alex laughs. “That sounds good. Next time, I want to eat a rice ball.”
