Commuting to the Office

アレックスは駅えきまで１０分ぷんあるきます。朝あさの空気くうきはすこし冷つめたいです。

Alex walks ten minutes to the station. The morning air is a little cold.

駅えきに着つきました。アレックスはスイカカードを出だします。お金かねがすくないです。

He arrives at the station. Alex takes out his Suica card. There isn’t much money on it.

アレックスは券売機けんばいきでスイカに千円せんえんチャージします。

Alex charges his Suica with 1,000 yen at the ticket machine.

「ピッ。」アレックスは改札かいさつをとおります。

“Beep.” Alex goes through the ticket gate.

電車でんしゃが来きました。中なかは混こんでいます。アレックスはドアの近ちかくに立たちます。

The train arrives. It is crowded inside. Alex stands near the door.

電車でんしゃは５つの駅えきを通過つうかします。アレックスは静しずかに窓まどの外そとを見みます。

The train passes five stations. Alex quietly looks out the window.

「つぎは、新宿しんじゅくです。」アナウンスが聞きこえます。

“Next is Shinjuku,” the announcement says.

アレックスは会社かいしゃの近ちかくの駅えきで降おります。そして、また改札かいさつを出でます。

Alex gets off at the station near his office. Then he goes out through the ticket gate again.
